Do you think it might be cancer?

Docrates is a private hospital that specialises in oncological (cancer) treatments. The service covers the entire chain from initial diagnosis through to post-treatment follow-up.

The sooner the cancer is diagnosed, the better the treatment results that can be achieved.
In some cases, cancer can be cured completely.

At Docrates, appointments with a specialist and further assessments are available right away. No referral is required. We recommend a visit to the clinic, should you notice any of the following:

nformation about cancer

About 25,000 new cancer cases are diagnosed in Finland annually. Roughly one in four Finns will have cancer at some point in their lives.
Cancer treatment results are constantly improving, thanks to active research and more effective cancer medication. In Finland, treatment results are among the best in the world.

Cancers are becoming increasingly common, which is believed to be mainly due to the ageing of the population. Hereditary factors may also increase the risk of many cancer types. The most common cancers diagnosed among women in Finland are breast cancer, lung cancer, colon (bowel) cancer and ovarian cancer. For men, the most common cancers are prostate cancer, lung cancer, colon (bowel) cancer, bladder cancer and rectal cancer.
