Docrates is the first clinic in Finland to offer treatment for erectile dysfunction using the state-of-the-art ED1000 low intensity shock wave therapy device. The treatment method has been available for patients for many years in different countries and has significantly helped about 70–80 per cent of the patients treated, so it is comparable to treatment by medication. This finding on the efficacy of the treatment is supported by the results of the Finnish tests carried out on the equipment in spring 2015. The device has been officially approved by the European Association of Urology as a so-called gold standard method for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

Who is the low intensity shock wave therapy suitable for?
The low intensity shock wave therapy is particularly suitable for patients suffering from vasculogenic erectile dysfunction. No side effects have been reported, and there are only a few contraindications to the treatment. A physician at the clinic determines whether the treatment is needed and, if so, prescribes the treatment. Our trained team will then administer the treatment in six 20-minute treatment sessions. The patient can leave the clinic immediately after the treatment.
The total price for the patient for a three-week therapy is EUR 1,500 plus the doctor’s appointment fee.
