I am a radiologist and have worked for more than 10 years as a specialist at a university and central hospital. My special expertise includes abdominal radiology, cancer tumor staging, ultrasound-guided procedures and ultrasound examinations.

I also have long and extensive experience in cancer imaging, general radiology, acute radiology, and dorsal and neuroradiological MRI and CT scans.

Patient encounters are an important part of my work, and I want to reserve enough time for the patient and focus on the individual situation of each patient.

Biography

Maria Hellesuo is a hospital radiologist and has worked for more than 10 years as a specialist in abdominal cardiology and cancer imaging at university and central hospitals.

Maria has long and extensive experience in cancer imaging, general radiology, acute radiology, and dorsal and neuroradiological MRI and CT scans. At Docrates, Maria performs ultrasound scans, takes samples and gives CT statements and magnetic statements on the abdominal and dorsal region. She is also involved in multi-professional patient meetings and participates in research projects as a performing physician and diagnostician.

As a radiologist, Maria wants to stay up to date with modern technology and is interested in the latest equipment and techniques. In her work at Docrates, Maria values multidisciplinary cooperation and close interaction with clinicians and physicists. At Docrates, every specialist has an important and irreplaceable role in the patient’s treatment chain, and close multidisciplinary cooperation ensures the best possible care for patients. Patient encounters are an important part of Maria’s work, and treating patients in a dignified and friendly manner is a key priority for Maria. At Docrates, she has the opportunity to be involved in the patient’s treatment path from the beginning to the end. She feels that it is important to meet and treat the same patient several times. In this way, she gets to know the patients and has the opportunity to monitor the treatment progress and the response to treatment in the long term.
